White on White + Blue

The white-on-white trend is all over the streets now that spring is in full effect.  In fact, in my personal opinion, it's nearly getting overdone.  In order to keep it interesting, incorporating a pop of color is always fun, like these powder-blue babies on my feet.  By adding a contrasting accessory, you can still play up the trend, but separate yourself and avoid blending into the sea of whites that everyone else is wearing.

I was down to see the cherry blossoms in DC, and it was so beautiful.  2,000+ fully bloomed trees surrounding the Tidal Basin.  The weather was also gorgeous, warm and sunny like it should be this time of year.  I was so excited that I was finally able to break out my SW gladiators again.  These shoes are show-stealers, so it's always best to keep the rest of the outfit simple when wearing them.  There are many things that I've been itching to take out of my closet again, while waiting for the (seeming eternally) imminent warm weather, and these were first in line.  What are you waiting to break out of your closet for the summer?

I love the blooming tree-lined city streets in the beginning of spring.  All of the budding pale pinks and pretty flowers inspire me to pull out accessories in the same shades, like my blush pink Rebecca Minkoff bag and my mauve pink Topshop hat.  Every time I put this hat on I feel more fabulous than whatever mood preceded it.  There's no better pick-me-up than those go-to wardrobe pieces that you know can always make you feel good.

Sweater - Ann Taylor//Dress -  Wink NYC//Shoes - Kathryn Amberleigh//Necklace - Emily & Ashley

Hello all, hope you had a nice spring weekend!  I pulled out some pastels for Easter Sunday.  This breezy-looking skirt is actually a dress that I picked up on sale at WiNK NYC.   It's super comfy and who knew, it happened to match the daffodils in my family's garden :)

I pulled a sweater over this dress because I wanted to dress up a bit, but didn't want to be overdressed for Easter mass and lunch with the family and close friends.  A delicate and girly skirt like this one is kept grounded with something casual on top, like my super soft Ann Taylor sweater.   Paired with a fun shoe with some texture, and a slightly tousled fishtail braid, this Sunday look is anything but boring.

How did you play up your Sunday Best?
